SPRING / AUTUMN (MARCH TO MAY & SEPTEMBER TO NOVEMBER)

The absolute premium months for Feglino. The ambient temperatures are perfect for handling the physical stress of the descents, and the forest dirt retains an ideal amount of moisture, providing maximum mechanical traction (“hero dirt”) across the steep off-camber slopes.

SUMMER (JUNE TO AUGUST)

Thanks to the dense forest canopy covering most of the trails, Feglino offers valuable shade and cooler temperatures compared to the fully exposed coastal plateaus. However, the dirt can become exceptionally dry and powdery during long hot spells, turning the steep chutes into high-stakes slides where traction management becomes critical.

WINTER (DECEMBER TO FEBRUARY)

Feglino remains highly ridable throughout the winter, especially on the rocky and faster draining sections. However, because the deep valleys receive fewer hours of direct sunlight, sections with dense loam and exposed roots can hold moisture longer after winter rainstorms, requiring experienced tire pressure setups and careful line choices.

The trail network is accessed via a combination of public municipal roads, authorized fire tracks, and private shuttle routes. Independent access via pedaling is feasible, though the elevation gain and trail density often necessitate motorized transport for logistical efficiency. Trail maintenance and signposting are managed by local outdoor associations in collaboration with regional land management authorities.
