Starting from the high ridge of NATO Base (1,020 m) and dropping straight toward the Mediterranean coast, the East Coast E-Enduro Tour delivers the most panoramic and varied riding experience in the Finale Outdoor Region. By combining 2 private shuttle uplifts with the climbing efficiency of modern E-MTBs, this tour maximizes vertical descent (-3,200 m) while tackling +1,227 m of technical pedaling across the wild ridgelines of Spotorno, Vado Ligure, and the Le Manie plateau.

Expect constantly shifting terrain: from the fast, grippy forest loam of the backcountry summits to high-speed open singletracks, loose gravel, and technical “white gold” coastal limestone. The absolute highlight of the day is taking on the legendary DH Men, one of the most iconic stages in international Enduro World Series history, featuring exposed rock drops and technical lines directly above the sea.

General characteristics

  • The Trail Zone links the inland mountains with the Ligurian coast, offering one of the most scenic riding experiences in the Finale Ligure Outdoor Region. The area is renowned for panoramic sea views, flowing singletracks and a varied network of natural enduro trails.

Terrain

  • A demanding contrast between high-elevation beech forest loam, compact dirt trails, exposed ridgelines, and sharp coastal limestone with loose rock gardens overlooking the sea.

Trails

  • The zone combines flowing trails such as Crestino, Supergroppo, Corvi and Mao Crest with more technical descents including DH Man, Berba and Briga. Fast singletrack, natural berms, compressions, rocky features and continuous sea-view descents define the riding experience.

Battery Minimum 500 Wh (625 Wh or 750 Wh recommended). Strict battery management in Eco/Tour modes is required due to 1,349 m of pedaling.

08:30 Meeting Point & Bike Check (Finalborgo) Meet at our base in Finalborgo (exact GPS coordinates provided upon booking confirmation). E-MTB setup verification: tire pressures, suspension SAG tuning, brake pad inspection, and route briefing with your certified local guide.
09:00 1st Shuttle Uplift (Finalborgo → NATO Base 1,020 m) Load bikes onto the professional trailer for the first shuttle uplift to the NATO Base ridge, starting the day at 1,020 m elevation with a 100% full battery.
09:40 Morning Stage: From Ridge to Sea (NATO Base → Spotorno) Drop into fast forest flow on Crestino and Supergroppo. Transitioning via technical E-MTB climbs along the east ridgelines, you’ll tackle raw, panoramic descents (Mao Crest, Berba, DH Corvi) all the way down to the sea in Spotorno.
13:00 Lunch Break & Battery Recharge (Le Manie) Flexible midday stop tailored to group preference: a quick seaside panino or a sit-down meal at an affiliated traditional Ligurian trattoria. Power outlets are available for battery top-ups (riders requiring a recharge must bring their original charger from home).
14:00 E-Climb to Le Manie & Iconic Descent (DH Men / DH Women) Assisted E-MTB climb up to the Le Manie plateau. Drop into the crown jewel of the tour: the legendary DH Men (or the alternative DH Women line), delivering technical S3–S4 descending on sharp coastal limestone directly above the Mediterranean Sea.
15:30 2nd Shuttle Uplift (Finalborgo → NATO Base 1,020 m) Quick transfer back to Finalborgo to catch the second private shuttle van back up to the summit of NATO Base.
16:00 Afternoon High-Speed Descents (Ingegnere) High-altitude forest riding through the long, flowing lines of Ingegnere, descending continuously toward the valley floor.
17:00 Return to Finalborgo & Aperitivo Roll directly into the historic center of Finalborgo for trail debriefing with the guide and a celebratory end-of-day aperitivo.

Faq

This tour is rated ITRS Advanced (STS S2–S4). You should be confident riding loose rock gardens, steep roll-ins, natural compressions, and tight off-camber turns. While most flow sections are S2–S3, the iconic DH Men descent features exposed, technical S4 passages over coastal limestone steps.

The tour uses 2 dedicated 4×4/van shuttle uplifts to take riders from sea level up to NATO Base (1,020 m). Once on the ridge, we utilize the pedal-assist of our e-bikes to bridge connections and climb between special stages across Spotorno, Vado, and Le Manie without depleting battery reserves.

Yes. We stop for lunch at a bike-friendly trattoria on the Le Manie plateau equipped with charging sockets. You must bring your own manufacturer’s charging cable in your backpack or leave it in the shuttle vehicle at the morning meeting point.

DH Men is the centerpiece of the East Coast tour. However, because this is a private guided tour, our local guide can customize the descent and route riders along alternative flow lines down to the coast if anyone in the group prefers less exposure.

Yes. We provide full-suspension E-Enduro bikes (160 mm+ travel) equipped with robust tires. During booking, simply provide your height, riding weight (for suspension SAG tuning), pedal preference (Flat or SPD), and brake configuration (Standard EU or UK/Moto style).

Liguria offers exceptional riding conditions year-round, but safety comes first. In case of localized rain, the guide will redirect the tour to sandstone or limestone sectors that offer better wet grip. If severe storms cause official trail closures, the tour is rescheduled or 100% refunded.
