Guided Tour・Full day Shuttle Service

This private full-day bike shuttle tour in Finale Ligure operates exclusively within the inland enduro sectors of Base NATO, DIN, and Colle del Melogno. The service includes an exclusive 9-seater van with a dedicated bike trailer and a certified local MTB guide for an 8-hour schedule (09:00 to 17:00), accommodating private groups of up to 7 riders.

The day is divided into a morning session, a 1-hour lunch break at an affiliated backcountry restaurant (13:00 to 14:00), and an afternoon session. Delivering 8 to 10 mechanized uplifts and approximately 4,500 meters of cumulative vertical descent, all uphill transfers are fully motorized from the valley floors of Calice Ligure, Rialto, and Feglino back to the ridge at 1,020 meters altitude.

Your guide manages dynamic trail selection according to group pace, terrain conditions, and official trail openings. The route links classic technical and flow singletracks across compact forest soil and limestone rock, including Rollercoaster, Toboga di Canova, Madonna della Guardia, Cà Bianca, and Ingegnere.

general characteristics

The Base NATO / Din Trail Zone is one of Finale’s best-known riding areas, offering a dense network of classic enduro trails connected by historic military roads. Its variety of trail styles makes it a popular destination for both guided tours and independent riders.

terrain

Expect compact forest soil, limestone rock, rocky slabs, loose stone sections and occasional roots. The terrain alternates between shaded woodland and open rocky hillsides, providing constantly changing riding conditions.

trails

The zone combines flowing trails such as Rollercoaster and Toboga di Canova with more natural and technical descents including Kill Bill II and Madonna della Guardia. Long descents, varied rhythm and multiple line choices define the riding experience.

What riders says

Faq

Located at approximately 1,020 meters altitude, the Base NATO and DIN sectors represent the inland network of Finale Ligure. The trails transition from forest soil and loam in the upper sections down to technical limestone rock on the lower valley drops. The area includes classic singletracks such as Rollercoaster, Toboga di Canova, Madonna della Guardia, Cà Bianca, and Ingegnere.

The optimal riding months are March to June and September to December. In warmer months, the inland elevation (~1,000 m) provides cooler conditions than the coastal trails.

The tour starts and ends in Finalborgo, with exact GPS coordinates provided upon booking. Finalborgo is reachable via the A10 motorway (Finale Ligure or Feglino exit) or by train via the Finale Ligure Marina railway station. The nearest airports are Genoa (GOA, ~70 km) and Nice (NCE, ~140 km).

A full-suspension enduro mountain bike with a minimum of 160 mm travel and reinforced tubeless tires is required. A helmet and knee pads are mandatory. A valid government-issued ID or passport is required by Italian law. Bike rental is available upon request; you must specify height, weight, front brake setup (moto/UK vs. EU/US), pedal type (flat or SPD), protective gear needs, and bike preference (MTB or E-bike).

If local authorities officially close trails due to severe weather, the tour is rerouted to open sectors. If no alternative riding areas are open before departure, a full refund is issued. Once the tour has started, no refund is available.
