Private Guided Tour・1 uplift.

Poggio Grande tour is designed for those bikers who enjoy both trails and adventure and the discovery of new and wonderful areas.Long, little-known trails, sea-view peaks, ancient villages and a smattering of history will be the protagonists of this fun day. White rocks, small peaks, meadows, ancient shepherd’s huts, a priceless panorama and technical passages. At the end of the route, we will back to Finalborgo by train for the aperitivo. The day begins with a mechanised ascent to Forte Melogno and a short ride through the Barbottina forest. From here, a long mix of flow and technical passages will take us to Bardineto. A quick espresso and then off to the next trail. Here, an impressive mountain landscape will mingle with the sea and a mix of single trails and toboggans will put a smile on our faces. A short dirt bike ride and we are ready for another fun trail that will pave the way for lunch. We will have lunch in Castelvecchio in a typical Italian osteria in the Ligurian hinterland, nestled in an ancient medieval village. Now, with our bellies full, we pedal towards the main attraction of this experience, a long ridge between Albenga and Borghetto that will give our eyes a thrill.

Equipment

Mountain bike / E-Bike	Full-suspension Enduro or E-Enduro bike with ≥ 150 mm travel (160 mm recommended). If traveling without your bike, premium mountain bike and e-bike rent options in Finale Ligure and Finale Outdoor Region can be arranged upon request.
Battery (E-Bike)	For e-bike riders: Minimum 500 Wh (625 Wh or 750 Wh recommended). Strict battery management in Eco/Tour modes is required due to 1,349 m of pedaling.
Helmet	Mandatory to participate in our tours (a full-face helmet is recommended).
Body protection	Back protector and knee pads are recommended too.
Eye protection	Goggles or riding glasses (clear or light-reactive lenses recommended).
Spare parts	Tubeless repair kit Inner tube Derailleur hanger Brake pads Reinforced casing tires (DoubleDown / SuperGravity / DH) are strongly advised
Water	Our guides use 750ml water bottles.
Food	Energy bars, gels, or solid snacks for on-trail refueling between runs.

Daily Program

08:30	Meeting & Bike Check Meeting (GPS position provided during check-out). Setup verification, tire pressures, and route briefing with your guide.
09:00	1st Shuttle Uplift (Forte) Backcountry shuttle transfer to Forte Melogno with professional bike trailer.
09:40	Start Riding: Barbottina Forest & Bardineto Trails The tour begins with a pedaled transfer of about 35 minutes through the protected Barbottina forest, the largest beech forest in Europe, reaching the start of the magnificent Bardineto trails.
13:00	Lunch Break Midday break at an affiliated local restaurant or quick sandwiches.
14:00	Start Afternoon Session After lunch we will tackle a climb, never too steep, to reach the first trail of the afternoon. We usually have time to ride 2 trails before heading to the train station.
16:30	Train to Finale Ligure Train transfer back to the coast. Tickets will be purchased in the afternoon together with your guide.
17:00	Back to Finalborgo & Aperitivo Roll back into Finalborgo for trail debriefing with the guide and an end-of-day aperitivo.

Severe weather	In case of severe weather or official trail closures by local authorities, the tour is rerouted to open trail sectors. If no alternative trail areas are open and riding is not possible, a full refund is issued. Once the tour has started, no refund is provided.
